Musical Theatre Performance Class is an intensive workshop for theatre performers, in acting, singing, and performance techniques of musical theatre.
This year, we have two Musical Theatre Classes available for students; Musical Theatre Class for performers in grades 6 through grade 8, and Advanced Musical Theatre Class is geared toward performers in grades 9 and up.
Performers can expect to work on solo musical theatre pieces, monologues, vocal technique, acting technique, and choreography. In the second semester, performers work on a performance set to take the stage in late June as part of the Etcetera concert series.
Students of our Musical Theatre Class have gone on to study at some of the best theatre schools in Canada, and across the world;
Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre Performance Program, National Theatre School of Canada, and in the 2022-23 season, one of our students has received a $100k scholarship to the world-famous Circle in the Square Theatre School (New York City), known for having trained such talent as Idina Menzel, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Lady Gaga.
