The Etcetera Productions Show Choir is an auditioned group of performers in Grades 7–12.

The program involves choral singing, solo and group vocal performance, ensemble dance, and acting skills.

The Etcetera Productions Show Choir performs an annual Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols for family and friends. The Etcetera Concert series, which takes place annually, features the show choir performers in a theatrically staged musical celebration of song and dance, with performers of all ages and a live stage band. The Etcetera performances cater to a wide range of genres – from the latest hits, to country, musical theatre, classic rock, traditional Newfoundland, and beyond.

Show Choir performers have been featured internationally

in Japan, France, England, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland, Russia, and Austria performing on world-renowned stages including The Golden Hall of Musikverein with the Vienna Boys Choir, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Beaumont Hamel, the World Expo in Japan, the Peace Palace of the Hague, the Hiroshima Peace Cathedral and the Hiroshima Children’s Peace Memorial. Thrilling audiences on stages in Sea World, Busch Gardens, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, and Disneyland Paris, show choir performers participate in a successful program that is now in its 39th year of training outstanding performers! This year, members of the Etcetera Productions Show Choir will be performing at Walt Disney World’s Candlelight Processional in Epcot on Saturday, December 7th. Stayed tuned for additional information about that upcoming performance. Etcetera 37 will take place at the Arts and Culture Centre in June of 2025.

Auditions

Auditions for the 2024-25 season will take place on Sunday, September 15th.

  • The production team of the Etcetera Productions Show Choir include Justin Goulding, the artistic director, Rebecca Goulding, the choreographer, Megan Barnes, the vocal coach and Carl Goulding teaches and directs the choral groups. The studio manager is Jackie Goulding.

  • The Etcetera Productions Show Choir rehearses on Sundays, from September 15th through the end of June, from 2:30pm - 5:30pm. All performers are asked to wear movement-friendly clothing, and bring along a bottle of water.

    Rehearsals, unless otherwise noted, take place at our studio in downtown St. John’s, at 99 Queens Road, housed since 2011 in Gower Street United Church.

    Please note, there will be no rehearsals on:

    • Sunday, October 13 (Thanksgiving Weekend)

    • Sunday, November 10 (Remembrance Day Weekend)

    • Sunday, December 22 and Sunday, December 29 (Christmas Break)

    • Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday)

    • Sunday, May 18 (Victoria Day Weekend)

    Rehearsals may be extended and extra rehearsals are added closer to upcoming performances.

  • The cost for 2023-24 teaching year is $450 for the full year, with a discounted rate of $400 for Private Students studying at the Studios of Etcetera Productions.
